Thomson, Lauren C.

Lauren practices environmental law at the federal, state, and local levels. As a member of the Lloyd Gosselink’s Water Practice Group, she assists clients with issues pertaining to water quality, water resources development, regulatory compliance, enforcement, permitting, and litigation.

In addition to her time at Lloyd Gosselink, she has also practiced law in the nonprofit sector, where she worked on a wide variety of environmental, infrastructure, and climate change issues, with an emphasis on assisting frontline communities.  Over the course of her career, she has represented clients before the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the Texas State Office of Administrative Hearings, the Texas Public Utility Commission, and state and federal district and appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

During law school, she clerked for the United States Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division, the Galveston Bay Foundation, the National Agricultural Law Center, Valero, and several other private law firms.
