Lloyd Gosselink is pleased to announce the four distinguished law students selected to take part in the first part of our Summer 2023 Law Clerk Program!
This summer, we are excited to welcome law clerks Emily Gustafson, Chloe Gossett, Klara Henry, and Elena Folgueras. Lloyd Gosselink takes pride in its long-standing and robust Law Clerk Program, and we look forward to continuing our tradition of providing outstanding law students with the opportunity to gain experience working with both principals and associates in all of the Firm’s diverse areas of practice.
- Emily Gustafson is a third-year law student at The University of Texas School of Law. Emily keeps busy at school as the symposium editor for the Texas International Law Journal, a lead peer mentor for the Women’s Law Caucus, and as a member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration team. She has experience working at a variety of law offices throughout the state of Texas and served as an intern for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. Most recently, she worked as a law clerk for the Texas State Office of Administrative Hearings and the Federal Trade Commission, Southwest Region. Emily is fluent in French, has traveled extensively in Europe, and enjoys Pilates and cooking through the NYT cooking recipes in her spare time.
- Chloe Gossett is a third-year student at The University of Texas School of Law, where she is the Lead Article and Notes Editor for the Texas Environmental Law Journal and serves on the Executive Board for the Environmental Law Society. She was the 2022 Student Co-Lead for Change It Up! Lawyering for Social Change and a staff editor for volume 28 of the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties and Civil Rights. Chloe has taken part in the Environmental Law Clinic at UT and interned for Lone Star Legal Aid’s Environmental Justice Team. She also received the 2022 Stuart Henry Environmental Law Fellowship and is a member of UT Law’s Women’s Law Caucus. Before law school, she received her B.S. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Missouri. She enjoys bird watching, dessert sampling, and container gardening.
- Elena Folgueras, our returning law clerk, is a third-year law student at Baylor University School of Law. She serves as President of the Baylor Environmental and Natural Resource Law Society, a Student Ambassador, and a member of the Baylor Barrister Society. Her experience includes an internship with U.S. Department of Justice, Environmental Torts Section in Washington D.C., and an internship with the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center. Prior to law school, Elena earned her B.S. in Environmental Law and Policy with a Geology Minor from the University of Michigan, which inspired her to pursue a career in Environmental Law. She is an avid baker, enjoys singing and playing piano, and is looking forward to studying abroad at St. Andrews.
- Klara Henry is a third-year student at The University of Texas School of Law and currently serves on the Executive Board for the Environmental Law Society and Human Rights Law Society . She is part of the Mithoff Pro Bono Program, a Student Ambassador, and has volunteered as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) to legally advocate for and mentor children in the Boston foster care system. She worked as an immigration paralegal for four years in Boston before law school. Most recently she interned at the Travis County District Attorney’s Office in the Protective Order Division and for Bayou City Waterkeeper. Klara grew up speaking German and enjoys learning other foreign languages, birdwatching, the New York Times Crossword, and watching scary movies.
